My Go-to Green Juice Recipe

recipes Jan 24, 2021

Having difficulty getting all your veggies in? Drinking fresh-made juice is like receiving an IV infusion of vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients and enzymes. Nutrients are easily absorbed into your system without really having to be broken down.
Juicing can ensure that you reach the daily recommended intake of 7-9 servings of vegetables per day while flooding your system with health-promoting nutrients. Studies show that consuming fresh juice helps to:

• Promote weight loss
• Boost your immune system
• Reduce inflammation

My standard go-to green juice recipe:

• 1/2 cucumber
• 3 celery stalks
• 2 carrots
• 1.5 inch cube of ginger root
• 1/2 lemon (peeled)
• 1 green apple or green pear
• Optional: 1×1 inch piece fresh turmeric root

Add the juice to a blender and blend in 2 cups of dark leafy greens (kale, spinach, collard greens)
